weddings

There's nothing quite like a big room full of people connected by love, celebrating love.
On top of that, they are all eating a bunch of delicious food and drinking for free.
Live music is the super-important final ingredient needed to make your wedding everything you've ever wanted.

We are an independently operated band that can bring you the same high level of
entertainment at a substantially lower price than many comparable groups.
You're not paying for or dealing with anyone but the people performing at your wedding.
We can work with any budget to get you the best possible music for the big day.

ceremony

A solo pianist sprinkling some Debussy or Chopin around like flower pedals?
String trio performing a custom arrangement of the bride's favorite Shania Twain song?
Classical guitar? Barbershop quartet? Whatever your heart desires, we'll make it happen.

cocktails

The jazziest of pianists subtly sets the mood as your guests sip martinis...
or a trio creates ambiance with romantic jazz standards and gets the energy buzzing...
or a full sextet with vocals generates a speakeasy vibe and gets the party going right away.

Not into jazz? A mellow acoustic set of love songs can be perfect for cocktail hour.
Love steel drums? Bluegrass? Accordion? We know people. Let's do it.

reception

Your reception kicks off with the wedding party entrances where we hit with a specially
requested, high energy and highly danceable jam. If you go with our MC service we'll
introduce your bridesmaids and groomsmen like it's the NBA championship game...
or with a flawless Don Pardo impression.

Then we smoothly shift gears into your first dance as a married couple.
We'll learn any song of your choosing exactly how you like it and help you edit it if it's too long.
Love a weird song? Something too heavy or fast? We can re-imagine any song to fit the first dance vibe.

The rest of your reception will come in finely tuned waves of romantic slow dances, dance
party bangers, classic sing-a-longs, old favorites, new chart-toppers and whatever else you'd like.
We're more than happy to take requests and will definitely add songs to our repertoire for you.
You can be heavily involved in the music chosen for the night or just leave it to us!

reviews

The Chromantics single-handedly made our celebration come to life. They were without a doubt the most talked about part of our wedding and we still have people raving months later. Additionally, the booking and logistical process prior to the wedding was a breeze. We went into our weekend feeling confident and excited, but truthfully our expectations were blown out of the water by their performance. We can’t recommend them enough to anyone planning a celebration of any kind.

If you’re reading this review & looking for a wedding band - stop what you are doing - and book them immediately. I mean it!

I am PICKY when it comes to music. I came with a lot of requests and a lot of wants and needs and do’s and dont’s and please learn this’ and please play this last seconds’ and ALL of them were met.

I was lucky enough to have gone to high school with Jack and another member of the band so I knew how musically inclined they are and how seriously they take it. Because of this I didn’t go out of my way to hear them live first - aside from a few videos on here I didn’t really hear them play as a band but I trusted them to entertain my 350 guest wedding.

I think all 350 people asked me for their contact info. Seriously. From coordinating our cocktail music (steel drum and blues guitar in separate rooms) to cutting/queuing my processional song, to the reception it was a flawless execution. I’m so thankful and so beyond happy to recommend these talented musicians.

I cannot say enough good things about this band. They MADE our wedding night. Not only do they seem to be effortlessly tight musically, they also have great charisma with each other and the crowd. When they spoke out it was at the right time, funny, witty and heartfelt. Of all the great things at our wedding- the band got the most rave reviews and everyone partied hard until after the end of the wedding - they were literally cleaning the venue and people were still asking for more from the band- and they kept going!

Jack, who runs the group is smart, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. He is knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. We had some ideas of what we wanted to hear and he told us what would be great for the wedding and what he thought wasn’t so fitting- but was happy to include whatever we wanted. He even had the group learn numerous songs that were far off the traditional wedding rep to suit our taste- including some really technically difficult and funky stuff- Vulfpeck, D’Angelo to name a few, and made it all work within our budget.

They also provided a DJ to play some tunes during our dinner and dessert who was great, but it was so worth it to have the band play 3 full sets during the wedding. Aunts and uncles, kids, my grandma- everybody got down like I had never seen before. We got so many thanks for the good time, and we were so happy we were able to provide that for everyone who came out to support us that day. Having this band was an expense that was well worth it!

My wife threw me a surprise 60th birthday party this past December with all my family and friends. She hired The Chromantics to perform at the celebration. Everyone there enjoyed the entertainment so much that the dance floor was overcrowded. The band performed music to satisfy every age group from young to old and kept everyone dancing.

It was obvious that all members of The Chromantics were seasoned musicians with incredible talent. The vocals were beautiful. Many of our guests were asking who they were and where we got them. As much as I never expected a surprise party, I certainly did not expect the level of entertainment we received. They played a wonderful variety of music. I would recommend this band for any occasion if you’re looking for professional quality entertainment. This was a party I’ll never forget.

I recently hired The Chromantics for a birthday party held at a local bar and was so glad that I did! Their musicianship, professionalism, and flexibility made them one of the best groups I have ever booked for an event. The band worked closely with me prior to the party to put together a set list that catered to both my interests and the interests of those attending. They even let my friends and I perform a few of our favorite songs live with the band! I would definitely recommend booking this band for your next event and I plan on hiring them again in the future.
